Roman started playing drums at the age of nine. He was fortunate to be able to take private lessons with Markus Fürst, a very inspiring teacher, early on.
From age 17 – 22, he studied music at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Zurich, where he was taught by Kevin Austin, Dede Felix, Nico Looser, Tony Renolds, Peter Preibisch, and got his diploma “magna cum laude”. He is a proud endorser of Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals and Giannini Swiss Drums.
Roman played live, studio and TV gigs with musicians like Eve Gallagher, Deean, Piero Esteriore, Gee K, Benni Bilgeri, Déborah Rosenkranz, Freda A. Goodlett, Heiko Freund, Wilbert “Junior” Gill, René Rothacher, Susan Orus, Natacha, Myron, …
