by Istanbul Mehmet cymbals to share with you some exercises from my different books. Two great drummers inspired me to create these two books: ° Elvin Jones for his execution of polyrhythms and is mastery of « rolling ». ° Bill Stewart for his versatility and perfect polymetric placement. The concept of the two books are to increase phrasing efficiency, freedom in comping, an overall balance on the instrument and all this using the following three parameters: ° Rudimental sticking methods acquired whist studying snare drums technics. ° A motricity acquired by three different melodic interpretations. ° The rhythm represented by cells, grouping of notes or metrics. Memorizing all the contents is important as these books are not intended to be a reading exercises. It is crucial to manage your comping as you conceive, and all of this of course will come to being only if everything is assimilated. In your momentum, you will be able to express yourself with a more fluid style of playing and an acute of your surroundings.
