Hello! I am currently on the road with Big Boy Bloater and the LiMiTs, touring our new album, Luxury Hobo. Following on from my last blog when I was on tour with CASH and choosing cymbals based on a vintage sound, I thought would write a little about my experiences recording with my Istanbul Mehmet cymbals and also how I have had to adapt some of the recorded sounds for live situations. Essentially a self-help programme, the Alexander Technique teaches us how to become more aware of bad postural habits – often the cause of restrictive physical tension – and helps us to use our body in a more balanced, efficient and co-ordinated way.
